Fr. Florentino Bolo, OP, General Promoter of the Priestly Fraternities for the Order of Preachers, speaks on the place of the Priestly Fraternities of Saint Dominic within the Dominican Family

“This is very important now that we are beginning to affirm and discover the place of secular priests in the Order of Preachers, especially for collaboration regarding the presence of the secular priests in the Dominican Family.”

The former Master of the Order, Fr. Bruno Cadoré, OP, speaks on the Holy Preaching in the life of the Order of Preachers and within the Priestly Fraternities. N.B. Fr. Cadoré speaks in French but English subtitles are available.

“The Priestly Fraternities bring to the Order's preaching the mission proper to secular priests, who are engaged in pastoral or other ministries. Inversely, because of the diversity of its mission, the holy preaching enriches the experience of the members of the Priestly Fraternities.”

Fr. Ron Peters, OP, a member of the Priestly Fraternity of Saint Dominic from the Diocese of Wollongong, Australia, speaks on what it means to be a “Dominican Diocesan Priest.”

“I have found opportunities to deepen my prayer life, deepen my study, and deepen the opportunity to be with Dominican friars. These opportunities have afforded me great depth of spirituality, particular living that dream that I’ve had for so long: to be more identified with Saint Dominic—the man, the preacher, and the one who is the father of preaching in our tradition.”
